Briggs Equipment has won a multi-million pound contract to supply and service JCB equipment to Peel Ports Liverpool.
Peel’s facility in Liverpool is home to a 250,000 sq ft animal feed store, which is currently undergoing an extension to expand its capacity to around 60 per cent.
The port has therefore taken delivery for three JCB457 ZX, two JCB426 ZX and one JCB427 ZX models, to be supplied by Briggs, which David Huck, head of port operations Mersey, says will play an essential role in the development.
“The new loaders are essential to our future plans and Briggs was able to provide us with a complete solution in providing both new equipment and a continued high level of service supporting operations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,” said Huck.
Bill Goodwin, Briggs’ sales director, said: “This contract demonstrates how Briggs works closely with its strategic partners, such as JCB, whose ethics and dedication to excellent products and services is perfectly aligned with our business and allows us to offer a complete solution for our customers.”
In addition to the five vehicles supplied to Liverpool, Briggs has provided three JCB wheel loaders to the Peel Ports facility in Runcorn, with another three on order.
