The government has come up with £165m to fund 62 road schemes designed to cut congestion.
This is the second tranche of cash from the £190m Local Pinch Point Fund announced in December which is being used to fund a total of 72 scheme.
Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin, said: “The schemes we have announced today are designed to target key bottlenecks around the country, making life easier for the thousands of motorists and businesses who use the local road network every day.”
