Yearsley Logistics has installed a further £1 million worth of new solar panels across its Hams Hall, Heywood and Holmewood depots, as part of its plan to reduce electricity use.
The new panels, which will generate 1,252,000 kilowatt hours each year across the three sites, aim to contribute to the company’s ISO 14001 environmental accreditation, by improving energy use by 8 per cent by 2015.
The company has also announced plans to install other renewable solutions, including wind power, at its nationwide depots.
