Chess Logistics Technology has enhanced its Empirica warehouse management system, which is used by Radley & Co, due to changes created by the introduction of Radley’s new IT architecture.
The changes were put in place by Radley to help manage increasing volumes of online web and mobile sales. They involved upgrading the company’s previous website to a brand new version, to provide both online and mobile versions of the site to both Radley and its partner brand, Tula.
They are set to make online ordering options available to a wider international community, as well as enable goods to now be ordered and paid for online but be collected by buyers from a local store.
Extra functionality was required of the Empirica WMS as a result of the changes and, due to expected growth in online retail sales, extra features for the handling of returned goods were added to the system.
