Inkjet supplier Roland DG has chosen DB Schenker as its logistics service supplier for EMEA, handling storage and distribution of product from its logistics centre in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
Roland DG, which provides inkjet systems for visual communication, printers and 3D engraving and milling devices, previously had five business units in the EMEA region, which were founded as a collaboration company in 2012. Roland DG has just unveiled its latest wide format digital printer, the XF-640, with the slogan “The Beast is Unleashed”.
DB Schenker will now handle the entire supply chain including warehousing, transport and supply chain management activities.
“The service offering of DB Schenker and the strategic location of their distribution centre complements and fits perfectly to our newly established regional operational model. We are looking forward to working together,” said José Rosales, supply chain manager at Roland DG EMEA.
*DB Schenker has recently published its 2013 Environment Brochure, which uses current key figures and examples to document the results of efforts to improve climate protection within its businesses. The company aims to reduce its specific CO2 emissions by 20 per cent by 2020, compared to 2006 levels.
