Parcels operator Yodel has appointed Keith Basnett chief operating officer where he will be responsible for Yodel’s operations and the delivery of over 150 million parcels a year.
He joins following eight years at Shop Direct Group, whose brands include Very.co.uk, Littlewoods and isme, where he was group chief operating officer.
He was involved in the integration of Littlewoods Home Shopping and Shop Direct (formerly GUS) and has previously held senior positions at N Brown Group plc, Freemans, Hutchison Telecom and American Express.
Executive chairman Dick Stead said: “His experience in retail, customer service and logistics management will be invaluable as we build on our existing success and look to grow the business further.”
