The Co-operative Food has launched a driver of the year competition, hoping to find the best driver within its logistics service.
The competition, which is open to more than 1,200 drivers working for the company, will see nominations shortlisted by the Co-operative Food’s fleet panel, based on accident records, attendance, low tachograph errors, customer feedback and testimonials.
Those shortlisted will then compete in a series of practical and theory tests during the final on Thursday 18th July, at a test track in Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire.
The winner will receive a three-day trip to Sweden, where they will get the chance to tour a manufacturing plant and test drive new vehicles, courtesy of truck manufacturer Scania.
