Pets at Home has implemented the latest version of Paragon’s routeing software and expects to make more than 42,500 store deliveries using the service.
The multi depot software will be used for managing deliveries from the pet shop chain’s distribution centres in Stoke-on-Trent and Northampton, as well as its outbases in Lockerbie, Gloucester and Dunstable.
It plans regular night-time store replenishment deliveries and schedules special consignments from Christmas and Easter separately, to avoid conflict with normal store delivery service.
“We have used Paragon’s software from the early years of the business and it has proven to be reliable and flexible, which enables its further development to meet our changing business needs,” said Mike Cox, distribution manager at Pets at Home.
