DSV Road has promoted Jesper Hansen to UK managing director.
Hansen takes over from Rene Falch Olesen, who is part of the group’s executive management board, and will now concentrate on his role of chief commercial officer.
Hansen will be based in the UK at the Purfleet office. He joined the firm in 1997 as traffic manager of Benelux/France. He was then business area manager of the same region.
In 2004, he became business area manager for the Swedish market and then division director domestic SE/management group SE in 2011 where he ran a team of 330 staff with an annual turnover of £200 million across 20 locations.
Hansen said: “I am delighted to be leading such a great team as DSV Road in the UK. This is a very strong part of our group which delivers excellent results through on-going hard work and dedication.”
