ADM International, one of the world’s largest food manufacturers, has chosen Abbey Logistics to handle distribution from its facilities in East London.
Liverpool-based Abbey will take responsibility for the movement of ADM’s refined oils and fats, from its sites in Purfleet and Erith, extending a 20 year relationship.
ADM produces ingredients for food, animal feed, nutrition and cosmetics worldwide.
“It’s a great testament to our partnership with ADM over the years that, despite significant competition in a very competitive market place, it has worked with us to ensure that both companies’ requirements were eventually met, said Abbey’s commercial director, Dave Coulson.
“We both have big plans for growth in the coming years and look forward to enjoying this growth together.”
The extended contract means the two companies are now in their 20th year of partnership.
