DSV has bought Airmar Cargo, which has been its agent in Colombia since 2009.
Airmar was founded in 1997 in Bogotá and also has branches in Medellin, Cali and Cartagena. Turnover in 2013 was $8 million.
DSV chief executive officer Jens Bjørn Andersen said: “It makes perfect sense for DSV to be present in Colombia that has the third largest population in Latin America and the fourth largest economy in the region. We know Airmar Cargo and the quality of their services and are satisfied to bring their professional team on board the DSV group.”
The group has been incorporating its agents across South America including its subsidiary in Brazil and former joint venture companies in Chile, Peru and Argentina.
