James Tillyer has been re-elected president of the European Transport Training Association (EuroTra) at the organisation’s Summer General Assembly meeting in Bucharest, Romania.
Tillyer, who is a member of the Freight Transport Association’s consultancy team, will hold the postion at EuroTra for a further two years.
“We have made great steps towards reinforcing the importance of high quality training in transport and logistics, he said.
“Over the next two years we aim to continue to demonstrate the value of our association through the development of tools and guidance, use our expertise and raising awareness about who we are and what we can do.
“It’s a tough time for Europe right now, but it’s essential that we make sure training doesn’t suffer, and that we continue to invest in our transport workforce to increase skills and safety levels.”
