Women’s fashion group Uttam London has awarded its contract for end-to-end logistics operations to Torque.
The deal covers sea and ocean freight, receipt, quality control, storage, fulfilment and delivery services for more than 1.2 million garments and accessories a year to some 800 retail, wholesale and concession outlets.
Torque will also produce customised reports across all ooperational disciplines, including pre-retail and processing on a daily basis, giving Uttam full visibility of the operation and performance.
The retailer will be moving to an integrated inventory system, providing full stock visibility, with RedPrairie’s warehouse management system, to allow goods to be stored and picked from a single stock base.
