Howard Tenens has selected dual-fuel expert Prins Autogas UK is to convert a fleet of 35 new HGVs to run on compressed natural gas, after an eight-month trial reduced carbon emissions by up to 50 per cent.
Prins Autogas UK uses a diesel blend system that can replace up to 55 per cent diesel with CNG or LNG and up to 30 per cent diesel with LPG. Its technology has international back-up thanks to Prins’ global reach, with established distribution channels in over 50 countries.
The fleet is a mix of 4×2 and 6×2 vehicles and the first vehicle is set to roll off the conversion facilities in Southampton at the end of July, with the job expected to be completed by September.
