Kerry Logistics has acquired a majority stake in Brazilian logistics and customs brokerage company, Braservice, which owns a network of 17 offices throughout the country, including facilities in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia.
Focusing on the Brazilian and Latin American markets, Braservice offers supply chain solutions, primarily within the FMCG, automotive, fashion and lifestyle sectors.
Kerry Logistics says its acquisition not only provides the company with a solid base in a country with dynamic economic growth, but strengthens its trade ties with China and Asia.
“Trade between Asia and Latin America has grown significantly during the last five years and we now have the platform to expand our network in this region,” said William Ma, managing director of Kerry Logistics Network.
