Gefco has announced plans to open a new base in Mexico, to leverage the location’s status as an industrial cluster and build business relationships with manufacturers and automobile suppliers.
The company’s Mexican subsidiary opened in March 2013 in the capital, Mexico City, to offer a range of logistics services, such as sea and air freight, automotive logistics, warehousing and road transport.
Gefco is also working on a project to take over management of international logistics platform Toluca, which is responsible for the global sourcing operations that supply PSA factories in Porto Real, Brazil, and Palomar, Argentina, with automotive spare parts from Mexico.
