Andy Hirst has been appointed as Gem’s new category manager, where he will be part of the office products business and report directly to head of category for office products, Colin Learmouth.
Having spent more than 18 years at Office Depot, where he played a significant role in launching Viking into the UK market, Hirst joins from running his own retail and online business.
Learmouth said: “Andy’s experience will undoubtedly help us to better shape our product and service proposition for customers ahead of our launch into office goods.”
