IAG Cargo has begun work on its new dedicated Constant Climate Centre, at its London Heathrow hub campus, which will offer precision temperature controlled solutions for the transport of temperature sensitive material.
Due for completion in September this year, the new facility will feature two temperature controlled zones, one being maintained at 2-8˚C and the second at 15-25˚C.
It hopes to be able to accommodate 28 pallet positions at any one time.
“This announcement endorses our commitment to investing in our offering for the pharmaceutical industry as global demand for its high-value and temperature sensitive shipments increase, said managing director Steve Gunning.
“Located at one of two global hubs for IAG Cargo and one of the world’s busiest airports, the new Constant Climate facility at London Heathrow will provide our customers with a dedicated facility and experienced Constant Climate Care Team to meet their requirements.”
