Microlise has launched the DCM6 in-cab tablet, a seven inch Android touch screen driver communications tablet, which it says can be fixed in-vehicle or used as a hand-held device.
The new tablet hopes to facilitate driver ID, text and voice communications, trip sheet, integrated satellite navigation, task management, unique driving style coaching and debrief functionality.
It comes with a “lock down” feature, which only gives the driver access to the applications and functions on the device which he or she is required to use.
The device also features voice communications, with optional hands free kit, enabling drivers to use the phone to dial fixed numbers.
