DHL is relocating its UK international parcels business operation to a 61,720 sq ft site on the Premier Park Estate, Park Royal, in West London.
DHL International (UK) has signed a ten-year lease with SEGRO for the site, which is three times the size of the previous facilities. The move reflects an increase in demand for parcel distribution services, partly driven by the growth of e-commerce related activity.
“This transaction with DHL is part of a growing trend we are seeing from postal courier companies requiring buildings located close to major conurbations to service their ‘last mile’ urban distribution activities, said Alan Holland, SEGRO’s business unit director for Greater London.
“The premises at Premier Park had recently become available and there was considerable interest from other companies. DHL was able to move quickly and we’re delighted to welcome them to the site.”
