Sam Weller has been given the newly created role of training manager at trg Logistics, where he will be responsible for the management of all Driver CPC planning and training standards.
Reporting directly to the company’s logistics director, Andy Frost, he will also be in charge of the commercial delivery to all external and internal clients.
Weller has previously worked in both the private and public sectors, in varying managerial training appointments.
He said: “The training and compliance issues in the supply of drivers to the logistics industry are becoming critical in the maintenance of legal requirements, with the deadline of the Driver CPC for HGV drivers fast approaching.
“Through the implementation of its World Class Driver programme, trg must ensure that all legal and regulative issues are adhered to – so accurate planning and foresight is required.”
