Four of Impact Handling’s new 2.5-tonne diesel Cat lift trucks were used for the first time at Buckingham Palace, for the Coronation Festival that marks the Queen’s 60th year on the throne.
The vehicles were hired by events company Global Experience Specialists, for the set-up and de-rigging of the event, which was attended by members of the Royal family, as well as 60,000 visitors.
They were used to erect exhibition stands and unload deliveries.
“We were pleased to be involved behind the scenes at such a significant occasion and while the delivery address may be somewhat unusual, we endeavour to handle all customer requirements with the same care, diligence and professionalism,” said John Davies, group operations manager at Impact Handling.
