Southern Railway has awarded Bombardier Transportation a spares supply contract, to support new trains when they enter service throughout London and the south east of England.
As part of the deal, Bombardier will supply 116 new cars to the railway service provider, with the option to order 140 more.
The new vehicles will be designed and produced at Bombardier’s Derby site, and will initially be used on the Thameslink route.
