Marc Bernitt has been appointed head of customs management at DHL Freight where he will be responsible for the global development of DHL Freight’s customs business.
“With the continued growth in international trade, customs clearance is becoming more and more important for companies. The customs business is an important contributor within DHL Freight’s product portfolio. With Marc Bernitt, we have found an experienced and highly competent specialist for the successful strategic development of our business unit,” said CEO Amadou Diallo.
Bernitt has held various management positions during his career, among them with Archer Daniel Midland and Olympus Europe GmbH. Most recently, he managed the Trade & Customs practice at KPMG Switzerland. He will report to Bernhard Wirth, senior vice president operations.
