Seafast is to double the capacity of its temperature controlled handling facility at Felixstowe and rebrand it from Seafast Celsius to Seafast Cold-Chain Logistics.
The facility is being constructed on a modular basis and is set to open in early September. It will operate three separate temperature chambers, enabling it to cater for higher volumes of chilled and fresh products, while continuing to meet the growing demand from frozen products too.
It provide a larger warehouse area for the cross-dock handling of chilled and frozen cargoes, with 50 per cent more vehicle loading docks.
