CitySprint has acquired The Courier Service, the Enfield-based delivery company which offers parcel deliveries in the UK and continental Europe.
CitySprint said the deal would expand its scale and reach and provide The Courier Service’s customers with an enhanced service through CitySprint’s 2,500 couriers and network of 37 UK service centres.

Patrick Gallagher, chief executive of CitySprint, said: “Today’s announcement demonstrates our continued commitment to growth and it’s the third acquisition since the start of the year. We plan to further our reach and develop our offering through local acquisitions and investing in new technology.”
CitySprint which is backed by private equity house Dunedin has completed 12 acquisitions over the past three years.
