Discount retailer TJ Morris, trading as Home Bargains, has awarded Swisslog a general contractor contract, for the materials handling elements of its new distribution centre.
TJ Morris has more than 280 UK stores and plans to expand to more than 700 within the next five years.
When complete, the new DC hopes to handle this increased volume, as well as facilitate distribution throughout Southern England.
As part of the deal, the facility will implement Swisslog’s CaddyPick semi-automated case order-picking system.
