UPS has opened two new contract logistics distribution facilities in China, as part of the company’s commitment to support emerging market demand there.
The two sites, in Chengdu and Shanghai, hope to provide distribution and warehousing solutions to shippers around the world, who want to reach customers within China.
“These expansion efforts will bring resources to our customers looking for a national distribution platform in China, said president of UPS international, Jim Barber.
“Our customers will benefit from our reliable service, proven logistics methods, technology solutions, global distribution and multi-modal transport network, as well as decades of experience in the Chinese market.”
The new facilities will serve a range of industries, such as high-tech, industrial manufacturing, aerospace and retail.
