DSV Road has launched a new insurance product for its customers who send low value shipments across Europe, the 5 for 5, which offers up to £5,000 of cover for £5.
“It is aimed at our groupage customers who send, for instance, one or two pallets, said insurance & claims manager at DSV, Steve Hamer.
“In many cases the insured value of the goods is below £5,000 so we wanted to reflect that in the insurance policy and provide affordable insurance for modestly valued cargo.”
DSV said 5 for 5 enables it to handle customers’ claims within five working days, with no excess charge.
