Hoyer has acquired part of the Antwerp Combinant terminal, held by Belgium’s Inter Ferry Boats, to reinforce the company’s presence at the European transport hub.
The company says the terminal can handle approximately 150,000 unit loads a year, and gives it access to the most important chemicals markets in Europe.
It is planning to expand its handling and transport services in Antwerp, to a range of services dealing with tank containers.
The terminal’s other partners are chemical company BASF and transport operator HUPAC.
