Pete Murphy is to take over as managing director of Isuzu Truck from Nikki King, when she retires in October.
After her retirement, King will continue working with Isuzu as Honorary Chairman to provide a seamless transition.
Murphy currently heads the ITUK National Fleet Division. He joined ITUK from Lex Transfleet as a fleet sales executive in 1998 and is one of the company’s longest serving employees.
“Yuki” Murata, Chairman of ITUK and Isuzu Europe said: “This is the most important decision we have made since ITUK became a wholly owned subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Ltd earlier this year. However, after some months’ evaluation, we are confident we have made the right decision and are pleased to see Pete in his new role, while I do regret seeing my friend Nikki go. Having said that, she will still be around and in touch with us all. Nikki has been a legend for Isuzu and I want to take this opportunity to thank her for all she has done for us and all she will still do for us.”
