Milton Keynes-based Shanks Waste Management has brought in a 3PL to manage its European export of low carbon fuel, from both its Kettering and Glasgow materials recycling facilities.
Norbert Dentressangle will transport all refuse derived fuel from the two sites, to energy recovery facilities in Holland and Germany.
The company will make around 3,500 movements a year, using its fleet of 13.6m tautliner vehicles.
Shanks said Norbert was awarded the contract due to its industry knowledge, flexibility, and ability to offer direct collections, as well as stand trailers for the shipment of baled fuel.
