DSV has acquired SBS Worldwide, the air and sea specialist, for an undisclosed sum.
Dartford-based SBS was set up nearly 30 years ago by chairman Steve Walker, and has offices in the UK, USA and China as well as partners across the world. It reported a revenue of £50 million in 2012.
DSV said the acquisition was a strategic decision to grow its markets between the United Kingdom and The United States.
DSV has grown rapidly over the past 20 years driven by a string of acquisitions including: Samson Transport (1997), DFDS Dan Transport (2000), JH Bachmann (2004), Frans Maas (2006) ABX Logistics (2008), Swift Freight (2012), DSV-GL Latin America (2012), Airmar Cargo Colombia (2013).
