Electric car racing series, the FIA Formula E Championship, has named DHL as the logistics supplier for its championship series, which starts in September 2014.
DHL will transport all racing cars, spare parts, and lithium-ion batteries to ten race locations worldwide. It plans to incorporate the most efficient and green technology and processes available.
“The logistics side of our championship presents a great opportunity to showcase how to transport 40 cars and all associated elements while minimising the carbon footprint of the operation,” said chief executive officer of championship promoters, Formula E Holdings.
