The Freight Transport Association has launched a new app, to enable drivers to carry out their vehicle walk-around checks.
Available on iPod, iPhone, iPad and a range of Android devices, FTA said the Walk Around Check app reduces errors associated with paper inspections, and complies with VOSA’s safety and maintenance guide.
It comes in a number of formats, including trucks, coaches, buses, and vans, and stores a full history of all checks.
The device costs £22 plus VAT per vehicle, for the first year, and £12 per vehicle for following years.
