SDI Group has moved into a new 20,000 sq ft site in Hinckley, Leicestershire, to facilitate the company’s ongoing expansion.
The move comes after SDI UK recently recruited Matt Pedley and Robert Smith as sales engineers, and Tony Kerr as a project engineer, who will all be based at the new facility.
“The new manufacturing plant provides an enhanced capability to manufacture mezzanine floors, sortation products, conveyor systems and structural components, and will give us the ability to respond to customer demands in an even shorter timescale,” said Gordon Smith, chief executive officer of SDI Group.
“This is particularly important in the fast moving, multichannel fashion retail sector, which is a big customer base for our automated systems.”
Michael Roberts has also been appointed as finance assistant at the company’s Royston office.
