Morrisons has teamed up with custom software consultancy, ThoughtWorks, to introduce its new electronic Order Pad, which will replace the supermarket’s manual weekly inventory process.
Morrisons said the new device allows its employees to input and track data electronically on a tablet, making stock management a more streamlined process.
Having implemented the system at 124 stores in July, the new order tablets will be put in place in all Morrisons UK stores by the end of the year.
