Kuehne + Nagel has introduced an end-to-end supply chain service for aircraft engines logistics, KN EngineChain, which it says will ensure the safe transport and storage of aircraft engines.
KN EngineChain features a global infrastructure, with regional dedicated competence centres, special training programmes, and engine logistics processes.
It hopes to certify staff, assess carriers for their engine handling and transport capabilities, and offer end-to-end visibility.
Tim Scharwath, executive vice president air logistics at K+N, said the company is confident that its customers will achieve competitive advantages by using the new service.
