Michael Sims has taken on the role of ocean freight director UK at DB Schenker Logistics, where he replaces Glen Boyce, who has been appointed as the company’s new head of ocean freight, region Europe North.
“I am confident that Michael’s knowledge and skills will help us grow our ocean freight volumes even more and help us to achieve the ambitious objectives we set ourselves in relation to our strategy here in the UK,” said chief executive officer of Schenker Limited, Helgi Ingolfsson.
* DB Schenker Turkey is establishing its own domestic network for procurement and distribution, as part of its network expansion.
The company hopes this will enable it to offer its customers there regular departures, reliable lead and transport times, attractive prices and end-to-end consignment tracking.
