Dnata has snapped up Unit 5 at SEGRO’s Gatwick Cargo Centre. The property includes 17,390 sq ft of warehousing as well as a further 14,880 sq ft of airside and landside forecourts.
It will be used as a cargo transit shed with associated offices, store rooms and staff rooms for the carrying, handling, storage, building up and breaking down of cargo, freight and mail brought and transported to and from Gatwick Airport.
Gatwick Airport has also taken space at the Cargo Centre to be used as a logistics centre to store goods for the retail shops in the airport.
It has taken Unit 1 totalling 28,500 sq ft of warehousing as well as 49,645 sq ft in respect of airside and landside forecourts on a 10 year lease.
Quoting rents for the scheme are thought to be in there region of £11.75 per sq ft for airside access and £7.50 per sq ft for land side access
