Yearsley Logistics is investing in 26 Mercedes Actros units and 50 trailers to support recent contract wins and investments in the its network of depots and infrastructure.
Yearsley expects the new vehicles to help facilitate the increase in deliveries to UK retailers on a day one for day two basis.
“The new trucks’ combination of market-leading fuel-efficiency, outstanding reliability and strong residual values will combine to give us a highly competitive whole life cost,” said head of transport at Yearsley Logistics, Will Maycock.
The company now has 13 depots across the UK, with 335,000 pallet positions, and a 300-strong fleet of temperature controlled vehicles.
