Midlands–based logistics specialist Widdowson Group has chosen DataWizard for its EDI and data integration needs.
Widdowson offers DataWizard the ability to link IT systems quickly and simply. “Previously, when considering taking on a new customer we had to factor in the cost of an external programmer, which could prove prohibitive. Using DataWizard we will be able to integrate new customers quickly and reliably ourselves,” said Paul Caygill, head of IT at Widdowson.
“Apart from the efficiency gains this offers us, DataWizard will allow us to easily link our existing systems and provide us with a lot more flexibility in future when selecting new software.”
DataWizard, produced by German IT company Lobster is now available in the UK from Leeds-based subsidiary Lobster UK.
Lobster users include companies such as Kühne + Nagel, Acer Computers, Gerry Weber and Storck, the makers of Werther’s Original.
Lobster will be showcasing DataWizard at the Port to Shelf and Logistics Link North event at Doncaster Racecourse on 16th & 17th October.
At 10.45am on 16th October, Walter Ebeling, VP Application Development for Kühne & Nagel, will be speaking about why they chose DataWizard and the impact it has had on their business.
Senior buyers from John Lewis, B&Q, and L’Oreal UK are among the list of recent sign-ups to The Logistics Link North exhibition, which will be co-located with the new Port to Shelf event in Doncaster this year.
Other attendees include professionals from Jaguar Land Rover, British Airways, Office Depot, GlaxoSmithKline, BOC, Home Retail Group, Shell, Tesco, Total Oil, and Walkers Snack Foods.
Taking place on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th October 2013 at Doncaster Racecourse, the two exhibitions hope to help supply chain directors, distribution heads, warehouse managers, logistics managers and shipping and transport managers, explore the full range of distribution and supply chain options available to them.
Both the Logistics Link North and Port to Shelf are free to enter, and will combine to provide one event for professionals responsible for getting products to customers on time and to spec.
