FedEx has introduced a new “cold shipping” option to its temperature controlled packaging portfolio, for its customers who require a refrigerated environment of 2-8° Celsius, for up to 96 hours, for their shipments.
The company reckons the new packaging will bring benefits to the healthcare industry, saying it is easy to use, reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly.
It said the device, built by NanoCool, can achieve a temperature of 4°C in less than five minutes, without the use of gel packs or dry ice.
