Multi-channel home shopping store, QVC UK, has awarded mobile solutions company Peak-Ryzex, a contract to supply 170 new radio frequency bar code scanning terminals to its Knowsley distribution centre, in Merseyside.
The five-year deal will also see Peak-Ryzex provide management services and support at the facility, which picks and despatches more than 15 million units a year to customers in the area.
“Peak-Ryzex is providing a comprehensive service and support package that covers all our handheld requirements,” said a QVC spokesperson.
“We do not need to worry about setting up the equipment or what happens if we have a failure, Peak-Ryzex manages all that for us; we simply get on with our job knowing that we have fully functioning handheld scanners and back up from our expert supplier.”
The contract includes a five-year warranty for each piece of equipment.
