Waberer’s, the Budapest-based international transport group, has signed a deal to buy 650 Volvo tractor units in a deal worth more than €40m.
The deal will take the Waberer’s fleet to more than 1,000 tractor units and makes it Volvo’s largest European road freight transport operator customer of recent years.
Waberer’s specialises in the long distance freight of full truckloads. In the first six months of 2013 the number of the clients grew by 300, the freight capacity by 15 per cent, and the freight kilometres driven by the fleet of more than 3000 vehicles has grown by 20 per cent.
The Volvo FH tractor units are Euro 5 vehicles and have the capacity of 460 and 500 horsepower.
