DB Schenker is setting up a logistics centre at Tilburg in the Netherlands to serve the healthcare sector.
The facility, on the Katsbogten industrial estate, is designed to become the hub for services in Europe and is scheduled to go into operation in November.
The 11,500 sq m facility has a number of temperature zones from 2 to 8°C and from 15 to 25°C. A clean room is also available.
“The logistics market for the healthcare sector is developing at tremendous speed,” said Leon Janssen, CEO of DB Schenker Logistics in the Netherlands.
“We chose this location in view of its central strategic location and because of the many years of expertise in contract logistics available right here in Tilburg. We will provide end-to-end supply chains for the healthcare sector from this hub, and with over 20 years’ experience in this challenging field, we can offer our customers the guarantee of a reliable organisation for their logistics operations.”
It is the fourth DB Schenker logistics facility at Tilburg.
