Two man home delivery service provider Breezemount UK is expanding into a new distribution centre in West Thurrock, Essex.
The company has taken a 55,593 sq ft warehouse known as Unit E at Queen Elizabeth Distribution Park on a five year lease from Millennium Cash and Carry at a rent equating to £7 per s ft.
Aaron Shields, director at Breezemount said: “We are delighted to have secured a modern cross dock facility in the Greater London area. Breezemount was attracted to Thurrock due to its transport links and the unit at Queen Elizabeth Distribution Park will provide a strong platform for future growth.”
Ben Wiley, partner in Strutt & Parker’s national industrial agency said; “Supply in Thurrock has been diminishing since 2008/9 and we are now at the point where there is very limited supply as units have been taken up gradually over the past five years. This has strengthened the position of landlords who are now able to demand higher rents then we have previously seen.”
Strutt & Parker acted on behalf of Millennium Cash and Carry.
