Under the five year contract DHL Global Forwarding will provide freight management services as well as integrating express deliveries into the operation.
“We aim to develop an integrated end-to-end supply chain for our upstream business to become more cost efficient. DHL has been a reliable partner ever since we started working together and we look forward to expanding our close cooperation”, said Rick Monical, VP category management at BP.
DHL and BP already used DHL for downstream logistics for fuels and lubricants in Europe, which involves DHL Supply Chain providing warehousing and distribution services.
