Chemicals logistics firm Lehnkering is building a new dangerous goods warehouse in Hannoversch Münden, Germany, due for completion in April 2014.
The site will accommodate aome 5,000 pallets and handle warehouse, transhipment, and picking services for vehicle parts wholesaler Wessels + Müller AG.
The company said its location at the centre of Germany, with direct links to the A7 motorway, will enable it to provide deliveries overnight if orders are placed as late as 6pm, meaning that goods will be available the next morning.
“The warehouse logistics division for the chemical industry is developing in an excellent manner for us,” said chief executive officer of Lehnkering, Uwe Willhaus.
“The new warehouse for dangerous goods is a strategic milestone in the ongoing development of our network of bases. Lehnkering’s market position will be strengthened in the long term through the warehouse at Hedemünden.”
