Cardinal Health has teamed up with FedEx to form an alliance to provide 3PL solutions.
As part of the new partnership, both companies will create tailor-made supply chain solutions for the healthcare industry, and offer access to more than 40 warehouses and distribution facilities across the US.
It will offer regulatory experience, increased inventory and transportation visibility and services including delivery direct-to-patient or to specific departments in the hospital.
“The healthcare market is undergoing unprecedented changes, demanding more from an organization’s supply chain,” said Rob Doone, vice president of Integrated Logistics Services at Cardinal Health.
“We are collaborating to stay in front of our customers’ needs and exceed their expectations,” said Carl Asmus, vice president, supply chain solutions & market development, FedEx Services.
“Through this collaboration, customers will not only have access to deploy their inventory at over 40 distribution points across the country, but will have access to two proven networks that reach every U.S. ZIP code, and end-to-end inventory and transportation visibility.”
